Is it too late to join?

No. We will have rolling admission to this challenge. Please sign up today.

Is this for real?

The only unreal part of this simulation is the money, which is fake. Do you really think we have millions of dollars?

Who can join?

Obama Academy families. That includes current students, teachers, administration, parents, and alumni.

Is there a fee?

Fees to run the Challenge will be paid by Purple Eagle Ventures for current high school students, teachers, administration and alumni.

For parents, we are collecting a $10 annual fee to offset the costs of the system.

I’m a parent. How can I pay?

We suggest paying through the PTSA PayPal Giving Fund account: www.tinyurl.com/ptsakiss.

Your email confirmation will serve as your tax-deductible donation to the PTSA.  

Can a parent and a student have separate accounts?

Absolutely. In fact, we strongly encourage it. Our goal is to get everyone to learn more about financial markets. We believe competition at home will foster learning.

How can students get more funding?

They will be able to complete short learning modules and take quizzes. Once a student completes these sessions, PEV will credit their trading account with more (fake) cash.

What am I able to trade?

Almost everything in the global markets. All participants will have access to all trading choices.

How do I place a trade?

You will have a username and password to the online portal to make real-time trades.

I’ve lost too much money or made a mistake with my trade. Can I reset my account?

No. Just like the real world, you can’t go back in time.

How long will this challenge last?

We don’t want it to end. Over time, we anticipate everyone will get better and we will extend everyone’s yearly licenses to keep this going.

 I’m graduating in 2020. Can I still be involved?

Absolutely. You can continue participation in this for as long as we run it.

Who will get awards?

Students will be rewarded with gift cards who performing the best, but also for taking minimal risk. We plan on giving awards students on a quarterly basis.
